SU Elections 09

February 28, 2009

So it seems I overlooked the recount box on the voting forms and Abe didnt suffer lost votes but had his application for President accepted.

I handed out a bunch of my comics and cards with oxbro.com on. Ji-Ho was there and we both twittered the event, he with more dexterity than me. Here we are doing just that.

Thats Colin Johnson aka Nubian Blu off to one side. CJ came 2nd for VP of Activities, losing out to Lucie Acraman if I recall rightly. Like the Presidency it was very closely fought, with numerous recounts accompanied by fast and twirling heartbeats. Heres CJ clearer, with Ji-Ho still twittering. Or making up for the poor fit for photo lighting.

    February 27, 2009

Abe Sarbah’s polling-booth manifesto copy in SU elections was missing from polling-booths this week. Apparently this happened through oversight, though its a sheer sizeable cock-up. Abe is one of three candidates running for the SU Presidency, and although his manifesto was online here at the SU website, exclusion from correlated manifesto packs at polling booths neglects Abe from a pivotal point of voter selection. This error occurred across all campuses since Monday when voting opened.

The final manifesto in the pack went unnamed, its unsure if this was a late attempt to correct the error. Abe is reported to be seeking advice from the NUS. By my reckoning, hes on firm ground for calling for a re-count on the President’s vote. Its unknown if this will affect the other posts, I reckon unlikely.

I’ll be twittering and facebooking my way through the announcements at Morals at 7pm tonight.
